  • remove the wrote coding best practices line. i think it doesnt do much
  • nit: but i think u can change ongoing to present
  • small grammatical mistakes can be fixed

overall i think ur resume is fine tbh

what is up Jayyy yeahbuddy new grad!!! it's rough out there. let's crack it

Skimming (HR):

  • I do not like "ongoing", capitalize this or consider the standard "August 2023 - Present"
  • Capitalize "Intern" in "Project Intern"
  • Capitalize the entire title "Baseball Win Prediction Model" and add spaces between the pipe to be consistent with the Wastewater title. Also italicize "SQL, HTML," in there for consistency.
  • Forgive me if I'm wrong but... is the spacing between "Baseball win predi..." and the bullets different from the spacing between "Waterwater Anomali..." and its bullets? o.O looks weird... I like candidates that have attention to detail :3
  • Capitalize "detection" in the wastewater title and put a space between "PyTorch" and the pipe
  • Again, the spacing between the 'PROJECT' header and "Baseball" and the 'TECHNICAL SKILLS' header and "Programming Languages" is different. Consider standardizing the format of your sections (I'm assuming this is LaTeX)
  • ... is your education at the very bottom??? for new grad???? stare

Reading (EM/Interviewer):

  • Data Engineering: I would bold "JIRA", as well as "Python, Java, Angular, and AWS". | change " Lead" to "Led" (remove the space before "Led"). | Bold "S3", "RDS", and "Terraform". | I think bolding a unit is just as important as bolding the quantity, so I'd bold "thousands of hospitals". | Bold "Docker" | Lowecase "10+ engineers". | Reducing deployment and PR approval time by how much? Give a rough estimate. not generous. rough. | Bold "Pytest" and "Git". | Lowercase "coding best practices".
  • why the hell is there a little ant looking artifact on this image. please tell me that's not on your resume. what is that. why. image attached
  • Application Development: Bold python. Bold any technology you're mentioning for the first time on your resume unless you feel like you're bolding too much, you didn't actually learn that technology, or it's something nobody uses (niches). no other notes!!! i like this section :3
  • Project Intern: Same bolding notes.
  • Baseball: I love this section!! Concise, you tell me your data pipeline, and even give the real-world accuracy ๐Ÿ”ฅ
  • Wastewater: I like this section, but I'd try to make the description a little more technical just to hype yourself up a little bit. Especially because it's Computer Vision (pog!). "Designed and implemented a wastewater anomaly detection model using supervised machine learning trained over [X] dataset videos." or "Modified and trained a YoloV5 supervised machine learning model to successfully implement a wastewater anomaly detection system."

Nitpicks & min-max:

  • Needs more AI keywords (if these are the positions you're applying to). throw "ChatGPT API" and "Machine Learning" and "Computer Vision" and all of that stuff into your Technical Skills section. Seriously. Even if they seem really obvious from your projects and experience. you just really want to be targeting automated resume parsers which will stupidly be looking for stuff like "AI" and "Artificial Intelligence".
  • you're New Grad, pls put the sickest courses you've taken in the Education section, even stuff like Senior Design if you can fit it. again hitting more keywords here.
  • pls fill 90-100% of ur lines (data engineering bullets 2 3 4 5, application bullets 1 2 3, project intern bullets 1 2, baseball bullets 1 and 2, wastewater bullets 1 2) :3

obligatory I am just a guy. pls challenge this advice and only implement what you feel would be best for ur resume! i do suggest reformatting ur resume, if u find a good template and copy-paste the text it should take not very long. I practically suggest doing this before implementing any of my advice (esp the 100% line width). just so you don't have to rewrite stuff twice.

best of luck!! lmk if u have questions :3

Amazing! Love the attention to detail. So many mistakes on my end while formatting

#

Should have used some tempelete rather than bare word

#

@broken atlas thank you so much dude!

@broken atlas any other tech skills I should work on? More projects maybe? Just Looking for more feedback

More projects is always good ๐Ÿ™‚ if you want meaningful inspiration reach out to an SWE of a team you'd work on and ask for their tech stack

#

I can LYK that the team I'm on focuses on models for video call optimization. taking telemetry data to see delay/framerate/resolution and optimizing for user preference (balance delay and framerate at the cost of resolution) I'm sure there's datasets on Kaggle for labbing a model like this
