reached out to everyone I knew. When i went out to parties i would network there to and ask people of any opportunites they know

Connecting isnt just pressing connect on linkedin and praying, it could work and you should do that too

that's some solid advice. I message recruiters on linkedin but it hasn't lead to anything which is disappointing, though I'll start doing what you did
