Even if you had applied, it wouldn't matter. Seems like there were some outdated reqs that were for whatever reason showing up, and then were turned down. The pipeline to hire regular SDE-1s is still through SP as usual and they haven't opened yet (neither going to be opened soon as it looks like internally).
