first, sorry to hear your job got yoinked
second, it's crazy you were able to get a second offer in such a turbulent market
i saw your website - it's actually really nice
since your options are unemployment or this hardware role, i'm going to say take the hardware role (exp is exp, collect some paychecks)
you can keep recruiting if you want and leave the company after ~6 months or something
i don't think it hurts your chances of getting jobs in the future
o ty i appreciate it!
because again, the alternative is nothing, like being unemployed adds no value
at least working adds some value to your resume
ah okay yeah that ddoes make sense
Agree with everything chrispy said, congrats on bouncing back. Dont take that hardware role for granted in this economy
gotcha sound good
yeah i was just thinking b/c of all my interviews recently, they always ask me like the question "if you had to choose backend or frontend what would you choose and why" and like i was afraid that future employers wouldn't like such spread out tech stack if that makes sense
idts
more diversity in exp isn't a bad thing
also, like i said
what was the alternative?
being unemployed?
that just does nothing for you lol
that is a good point lol
i guess speaking on that then, all my interviews they always ask me like what i prefer, (in a trick question manner) and I usually just say frontend / backend depending on what i think they me to answer
how should i answer this? am i thinking too hard
i usually say like backend for reasons like i can learn a lot more about design, infrastructure, architecture, and scalability ...
and for frontend i usually say like new technologies always coming out... get to learn new things constantly ...
am i overthinking this lol
@runic oracle impressive website
ty appreciate it
Yes
