One of my friends has a Research letter from his uni prof since Jun 12 (no end date entered in sevp portal) and is working as a contractor at some firm since jul 12(no end date entered in sevp portal for this)

so basically he has two entries

Prof Research work : Start date Jun 12 2023
End date box blank

Contract work : Start date Jul 12 2023
End date box blank

so is this even legal ? on F1 OPT

yeah, there is no limit on how many jobs you can have on opt

#

you just need to work a minimum of 20 hours/week

in my sevp portal

Entry 1 : Start Date - Jun 12 2023
End Data - (Havn't updated but will update on 15th oct 2023 as the same)

Entry 2: Start Date - Oct 11 2023( i will be putting this today)
End Date - Empty.

Will doing this accrue any unemployment days after the 15th of October ? @serene zodiac @copper osprey

no it won't since your start date for the 2nd job is before the end date of the 1st job

like lets say you get an offerr letter on 11th october so you have until the 21st oct to put it in the sevp portal right ?
