Yes 2x but I also got the intern offer last year
asked for expedited process because of that
you're goated congrats 👏🏼
Thank you
taking bbg over dropbox?
what would you do
id take bloomberg
Why
damn didn't realize you could do tht
This was my plan all along
never planned on interning there
😂😂😂
Why not tho? Better offer?
Remote, no state city death taxes in cali or ny or nj locations they have
i do not understand this sentence ngl
i dont care about living in ny
dropbox is remote
i live in florida
meaning no state income tax
Ohh you got Dropbox? Big W
Id do the same ngl
I loved Dropbox interviews last year can’t wait for them to open NG
What are they like? Stripe style?
The OA was genuinely fun, in terms of stripe I’d say it’s a much much harder version of what stripe asked, but same energy, I.e a something you might see a real engineers working on in the real world, but still challenging
The onsite was one leetcode type question and one debug session
Daammmnnnnnnn
Stripe time crunch was brutal but I liked the question
Not even trying to brag but stripe was that easiest I’ve ever done, I just got unlucky cause my recruiter got laid off
In the same vein, Bloomberg is the hardest interview I’ve ever done,
do you remember what your OA was? The questions are rng
LC hard?
Medium, someone told me to Google Dropbox questions and I did, i got one of them word for word, but with 2 twists/follow ups after initial solve
why tf are u interviewing with bbg then
3 day RTO in nyc
Oh shit nvm this was for Dropbox
LOL that's good to know
Bloomberg 22 was the second technical interview Ive ever did and I was very very unprepared
It could’ve been an easy for all I know, back then leetcode to me was a site you hopped on once a year for giggles
btw what's your XP that you're landing dropbox and BB interviews?
It was currency conversion/transaction time calculation
Been coding since a teen and have a few projects out
Just did my first actual internship this summer
(Sorry got hijacking thread lol)
I think got Bloomberg back door this year cause I spent all year connecting to recruiters on LinkedIn so I might’ve popped up first when they started searching
ah good ol bellman ford
t10 school or nah?
that's so clutch tho I wish I harrassed more recruiters lmao
Nah lol it wasn’t any algorithm just a couple of statements
oh lmao nvm
Like it could’ve been an intro to programming homework question ngl
LOOOOOL omg
State school in Kansas lol
It was for an app that tells students which companies were a match for them lol, so I already had a conversation topic + showing off skills in one go
I had to buy the Max LinkedIn subscription cause regular didn’t cut it
LOOOL I see
Nah it was a personal project
👌🏼
you know you can negotiate offers right
Right the OA is very cool
The interviews were very practical tbh
Bloomberg was hardest??
Thsts the one that’s basic dfs/bfs right
Like the one to convert USD to JPY etc
Or like the maximum conversion possible from start to target
So it is bellman ford 😅
Bro if you think that’s bellman idk what to say lol
It’s a dfs with a max variable lol
No cycles?
Not all conversions are possible you could hit a cycle
lol yea I was only a cs minor back then so ds and shit weren’t first priority
Yup
Yeah I just double checked, the solution takes 1 for statement, 1 if statement and 1 if else
I also realized I took both in the same day lmao
@cursive river whens ur final?
my initial is this week lol, haven't taken it yet
nice nice, lemme know how it is bc same
is the initial recruiter chat or technical?
they sent me a hackerrank link with my confirmation so I assume technical
dope, enjoy
