I would make a test resume with this small change and see if it helps.
Make an exception and put rewards right under education as they go hard. If you are luckily to get someone whom participated in those competitions they will think highly of themselves for having done them and also think highly of you.
This would likely require moving to a two column because if it was my resume I would much rather them skim over other skills and certifications than the fact I've placed top 1000 ( or whatever) of people multiple times
Other thing would be clarify who you are. Are you an IT guy or a machine learning guy.
