About the house:

  • ~1000 square feet
    • big bedrooms but smaller common area
  • very quiet neighborhood in close vicinity to Castro Street and Mountain View Caltrain station, about a 20 minute walk / 6 min drive
  • It’s a duplex so there’s another unit attached to our house (unit A)
    • we get 1 carport and 1/2 of the driveway
    • there’s always plenty of street parking
  • we get a large outdoor shed to store bikes, large equipment, etc.
  • in-unit washer and dryer
  • large backyard that needs little maintenance
  • very nice landlord and landlady who have great response time to any problems, questions, and concerns tenants have
  • no issues with pests, package thefts, or car break-ins
  • Living room and dining room are already furnished, and we already have cooking equipment (air fryer, instant pot, rice cooker, pots & pans)

About us:

  • 22M and 23M recent college graduates working as software engineers
  • about me:
    • hobbies include: skiing/snowboarding, playing volleyball (just started learning), gymming, hiking (or any outdoor activity), playing steam summer sale games, and hanging out/meeting new friends!
    • mostly WFH from my bedroom
    • make most of my meals at home, but I’m a simple chef who prefers making simple nutritious meals and not spending much time cooking
  • about my housemate:
    • I mainly enjoy expressing my creative outlets through music & video editing, binge watching shows but mainly kdramas, and overall being active exploring new places and meeting people around the bay!
    • I usually take the time to meal prep but don’t really make anything too crazy and it’s only a few days of the week, really mindful of the kitchen area
    • Majority of the time I’ll work in the office — free food, free shuttles, and cool team😁
  • We love going out and socializing, but we prefer not to host parties
  • Daily life in our house is pretty quiet, chill, and comfortable 😊
