#is there a formal procedure to set up

thanks for setting up a thread
Setting expectations, making deadlines, and discussing payment and whatnot
If the client isn't very cooperative in the agreement, it would honestly be a waste of your time
because if you are coming to do actual work, they should be committed to making it work as best as possible
Do you have any questions?
would a freelance project be judge differently if there was no payment involved? Like in the eyes of an interviewer, would they have a problem with it?
only saying since the guy who propagated the idea was kinda vague about payment.
Well, the first thing is, do you actually have to mention that there was no payment?
But I don't imagine they would - people volunteer as web developers all the time and people still land stuff with that
I see
Or if you do open source, you're still not getting paid or an official position
But it's about the actual skills and experience
Guess I was scared that they would somehow find out or something
