Sorry our decision making spilled over into this morning, but we have made some final decisions. We've decided to not offer you a position with our ML team.
This decision was not made easily. You interviewed very well, passing the technical bar. Ultimately we had more qualified candidates than positions, so we had to look at everyone's strengths, team structure, and make hard decisions about whom to move forward with. The team ranked best fit to candidate skill strengths and though all agreed you have great technical acumen, we placed a few other candidates as better positioned within teams to make the overall team's strength its best.
