@acoustic mural I just heard back I cleared HC; I still have to go through the PA match and VP review for a formal conversion offer, but I know the vast majority of people are still in the PA match phase like me. My recruiter said I could hear back by next Wednesday and VP review only takes a couple days, so I think intern conversion completes at the earliest, two weeks from now

I remember they asked about differences between FP and imperative languages + a bunch of distributed systems stuff (compare different types of databases, what is consistent hashing, compare that to sharding etc) during the phone interview

@tepid minnow idk about location, but levels.fyi has salary stuff for most big companies

i think you'll be able to filter by location

problem with glassdoor is that it might be outdated and skew lower due to how salaries have increased over the years

you can filter on levels.fyi by location: https://www.levels.fyi/locations/, and then you can sort to see which companies pay the most, etc

I have an offer from Amazon expiring Nov 1 but I have a few interviews in mid-late october and I wanna see how they turn out before accepting Amazon

@languid plaza what exactly are you concerned about? it's really really really rare for companies to rescind an offer before the deadline, and I highly doubt Amazon would.
