Honestly idk, it feels like time is running out. Like I mentioned in the rant channel a few days ago, I’ve been getting auto rejected because I’m not technically a “new grad” at most places (December 2020 graduate date or later).
I’m just applying regardless, trying my best on the few interviews I get, and reaching out to recruiters/friends.

Some places consider +6 months after graduation date so that’s been what I’m banking on, and if that fails by December Idrk haven’t thought about it what about you?

I am very frustrated with agencies and whatnot recently. I am wrapping up a remote internship that a company set up to help struggling grads, but they are a small company and not looking for more full time devs right now

I am sort of accepting that the likely best case scenario is that I start something in January

I’m fine with starting something even if it’s December or Jan, but would it still be from a new grad role you think? Or shifting towards entry level roles?

I’ve tried applying for those too but the minimum requirements have been like 1-3+ years of work. Haven’t heard back for any interviews from those roles.

Yeah that’s me too, but it seems like there’s a time limit and it’s running out. I was also considering doing IT or consulting then switching over to SWE a year or 2 later but I heard that’s hard to do. Idk how true that is

I got Microsoft phone interview next week, anyone know what to expect? 30 min only and the email said a mix of coding and behavioral but that doesn't seem like enough time unless the question is easy
