Everett-Linde. A catastrophic disaster whose waves rippled throughout the the scientific community. How did your (agent of choice) react to this news. Would they care? Did they even know?

Another ring slipped through his door. The tenth at least, with thin the past few hours. Something must've leaked from the Kingdom files by a bitter scientist - or a rat.

Chamber closed his eyes as they spy's shadow crossed his room on the other side of the door, no doubt on purpose. It was from his office that he tapped into the phone lines with Breach. He wouldn't put it past that he would drop his fingerprints for a laugh.

That was all he did. Look at Chamber, and laugh. Laughed like he knew all his secrets and laughed as he forced Chamber to live with them. An angry wife, a mourning husband who could barely utter more than the standard questions, or a child calling in the hopes that mama or papa might pick up this time.

Chamber did the right thing. He did the right thing. He would've done it again. And Cypher laughed, empty, cold, and haunting, because what did a destroyer of worlds know what it's like to lose a family?
