How do I frame a PM case study as a product designer in a portfolio?

I understand PM portfolios and Product Design Portfolios are pretty different - but I was wondering whether I could integrate a PM project into my current product design centered portfolio

From what I've seen, PM portfolios display some of the research steps along the lines of product design, but focus on how they directed the project to different areas and impacted the product rather than wireframe designs a PD might create
