Hi, I'm interested to be one, which one should I learn first, front-end enginner or UX?

Also is it an official job title?

That's a good question. For now, I could only talk about my experience since it's very new to me as well. (Anyone on this server can jump into this thread in case they may know more about this.)

I started as a frontend developer who got curious about UX. Became a UX Engineer after working with designers while I continue to work with developers. With that, I think "mastering" what I know (Frontend Dev) before learning something new (UX) helped me with this position.

And it is an official job title. One thing to note is that it's also another name for Frontend Developer (working with UX).

The title kinda speaks to me, I've always interested in both design and code

What about the scope of work? I only know that Frontend Developers create for the web(?)

Yes, it's important for frontend developers/UX Engineer to have skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript - by having a solid understanding (of the basics, at least) and continuing learning how to build a product that's useful for the users.

They would also work with the design team by taking on certain tasks. For instance, I would have the opportunities to consult with the design team and answer questions from my design lead, such as "How is this feature from our design? Would it be possible to develop this and how?" I would also update our development team how we're planning to design our web pages, while keeping in mind of the UI principles.

The goal is to be an advocate for both engineers and designers by effectively collaborating with each other.
