In that case, just call off sick. Say you can't make it in because you don't feel well and don't expand further.

#

The good thing is usually companies are very slow to fire. So even if they were thinking of letting you go it would take some time (and maybe they're hoping to find a replacement).

#

Also, sometimes companies are fine with someone who doesn't uh "mesh with their culture" to leave on their own. Since there's no awkward firing, no worry about severance, no worry about suing etc. So even if your boss suspects you are maybe looking they might not care as much and prefer it if they made the job posting to replace you.

Only thing I wanted to add was even though yes it won’t hurt to get let go in your case etc it’s actually much easier to job search when you have an exisiting job than in between jobs

Yes, definitely do not leave to concentrate on the job search

If you can ideally do both at the same time search while working

Stay but don't worry as much about calling in sick when needed etc

Gotcha, ugh, I wish I had enough bandwidth to deal with work, AND job search. Before I took this job, I quit my other job to also concentrate on the job search. But I gotta do what I gotta do
