Hey Everyone! Thanks for reading. I'm new to Discord and to this community. After several years of freelancing as an illustrator and web designer, I'm now seeking a UX/UI role. I've completed the UX design course offered by Google and a UX bootcamp, but I actually have no experience working as a UX designer in a real-world company, so I'm aiming for junior positions. I made my portfolio based on personal projects, but I would like to get feedback from people who is already working in the UX industry. I'd appreciate any advice on how to improve my portfolio, whether it's the storytelling of the cases or the content. Let me know what you think. Thanks! https://www.algovisual.co/

Hi Sal! Cool portfolio, and very impressive even with being based on personal projects!
Some pluses I notice: The simplicity is nice and gets viewers straight to the point, including the titles and short descriptions on your UX project tiles. Can you get a touch more image clarity/resolution on the Max Gaming cover image? Within those UX projects, your info feels very digestible and sectioned off well. Your About page is great, and your info there is presented well (column spacing feels a touch imbalanced). The bold colors of your UX project tiles work for me, and the banner images when you open up the projects are clean, consistent, and effective.
A few questions or suggestions: Some hover-overlay text on your images in the Design page could help you add some context and description without cluttering the space. Certain text blocks feel like they could use some extra room to breathe (more space between headings, subheadings, and even body paragraphs in some places). In your case studies, the dark-lined borders around the text are the only thing I'm not feeling. They look a touch outdated and contribute to crowding the text, imo. They also stand out when placed next to images without similar borders.
