#Sorry to hear you're having a tough time

I feel like I'm doing most of these things.
• I accept free design work because no one will hire me. 10-15 years ago I was paid good money to design and code websites.
• I've accepted the lowest salary I can and the work I'm doing is mostly production work as part of UX team, unfortunately this contract is ending in a few weeks. I accept low paying entry level roles because I don't think I'm qualified for anything else.
• I struggle to tell my 'story' because it's embarrassing and pathetic. I'm just a person who likes visual design and solving problems.
• I've tried getting into larger teams but they want someone who has worked at a bigger company, my experience is all small companies.
• I follow people on LinkedIn to try to keep up with trends and read design/UX articles. It's probably not the same things people in tech are reading so I don't know if it's hurting me or helping me.
