Title says everything. Nothing I've done works. I've had this issue in the past and you guys have fixed it, I have full faith. From what I've noticed, it seems to happen when I come back to marauders after not playing for a while- the game just refuses to pass the loading/initializing screen. My clipping software is being super finnicky so I can't get a clip of it.
#game's crashing on startup again. Tried reinstalling, verifying files, nothing works.

are you on windows 11?
Some folks with crashes have been able to get the game working by re-installing Steam. If nothing else works maybe try that.
Here's a link to a thread where one person who had a crashing issue solved it with a Steam re-install: #1210409034751017001 message
Nope. Windows 10.
Ah. I'll give that a look.
update: game still crashes. Nothing has worked to progress the game any farther than the very first loading screen.
Does it give you a reason for the crash? Have you tried doing a DISM and SFC? Those 2 most of the time help me when i have problems.
Huh? What are those?
And no, I don't get any reason for the crash. The game just closes itself. I've redownload marauders a few times, verified the files, even reinstalled steam and nothing worked.
it's a common method used to fix corrupt files in Windows. Here's a tutorial video
Fix Corrupt Windows 10 System Files with two different scans with the command prompt. Also make sure you backup important data and set a system restore point before making any changes to your computer.
Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM)
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
System File Checker tool (SFC.exe)
sfc /sca...
Ah. Thanks
if you haven't already, give these steps a try:
- Restart your PC & Router
- Run your Steam and Marauders as Admin
- Allow Marauders and EAC through your firewall & antivirus
- Verify game files
- Repair EAC
- Sync system date/time
- Delete this file "MatchmakeSettings.sav" (Mine is here: C:\Users\Your Name\AppData\Local\RaidGame\Saved\SaveGames)
What ahtu said. In the video it only showed one command of DISM tho i would suggest to fo all 3. DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth , DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth and DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth. After you did this you can do the SFC. Then restart your pc. What also wouldn't hurt is to do a MRT (Malicious Software Removal Tool) This is a build in malware scanner and will check your system for viruses. Just search "MRT" into your windows search bar and run this as admin. for the best result let it do a full scan but note that this can take hoursss. If you don't have that time do a quick scan. After thats done restart your pc again. NOTE: Don't shut down you pc but restart it.
did this work? im having the same issue rn but im on windows 11
it has worked for some people, but it seems a borked Win 11 install can cause issues with EAC.
I would recommend trying these steps, with the worst case being you need to do a full, clean reinstall of Win 11 or revert back to Win 10
All I know is that it started working again right before the retribution update dropped.
