One thing that has become abundantly clear in the couple hundred hours of combat I've been in with this game, it's that the easiest way to make it harder for someone to shoot you is just strafe spamming with A/D, or sprinting around in a circle. The introduction of inertia would greatly reduce the ability for players to cheese like this.
Alternately, I think a good idea would be to make reloading and healing something you have to commit to. Meaning, you can't sprint and reload, or sprint and heal. I think this would be a good way of fleshing out the decision making process in the middle of a firefight.

You can't really change reloading and sprinting until weapon swapping stops taking longer than the already 5 seconds long reload animations
But yes sprinting and healing is dumb
id be down if they made reloads slower when sprinting or sprint slower when reloading
