#add female player models

Based suggestion
how can you tell that under the clothes the model is not female already :D, especially when they add female voice lines
what will make the model look more feminine ? bigger breasts? smaller waist ? and when you put the armor on and you can no longer see that, what is the point 😄
The whole point is that ya can't tell under the clothes. Besides, female models will probably be used just cause they have smaller hitboxes.
just does not make sense currently, if you were able to see the face, or hair or idk, the costumes were not baggy and you can actually see the body lines, i would agree that making female would be good idea
Women are still noticeably slimmer lol
I mean I don't see an issue with it. Though they did say that its ambiguous as to what gender they are. I think that female voice lines would be the best option since they've said that they are going to keep the models as is.
Female voice lines would be pretty dope I agree. I don’t think there would be a noticeable difference in the model anyway for a woman, and if they wanted to make one it would probably have the same hit box.
They have female traders and from what I can tell they aren't wearing anything different
they might be noticeably slimmer, but how can you tell that under the baggy outfits ?
I worked in an oil and gas manufacturing place. You can still tell through coveralls and boiler suits.
i am talking about the game, how do you know that it is not a female under the clothes ?
The model is still built like a man, dawg it’s that simple lol
how so
Broad shoulders, wide chest, etc. You take one look at the model and it’s very obviously male.
how do you know how broad are the showders , when you have not seen a model without the suit 😄
Because the suit isn’t a balloon around the body. A boiler suit doesn’t magically add inches to all your measurements it’s still fairly form fit.
why do you assume that it is a "boiler suit"
Because it is a boiler suit.
aha because, ok
The clothes in the game are very clearly coveralls, boiler suits, workman’s wear, etc.
I mean they're not wrong just look up work boiler suit they look pretty similar
but either way I don't think it matters all that much if they make a new model for it
i would say the costumes in the game are some sort of fantasy space suit but ok
obviously they have differences but like you said its in space. Its WWII earish
I literally own the jacket from the SAS outfit.
wierd flex
nevermind i feel like we ( I ) am just spamming the tread, my point was female voice lines would be enough to sell the idea that the character is female
Nope
I work in oil and gas (and coal fired boilers) and I would say coverals, boiler suit, etc there is a lot of time you can't tell. Women have different builds just as men do. Sometimes you can tell, a lot of the time you can't. I've had it a few times where I didn't know it was a woman because face was covered with a respirator and they had a welding lid down at first. No way to know.
Don’t care
Um. Ok?
This was enlightening
quite
Right? Lol
How would you differentiate between male & female models in the game without delving into stereotypes?
Seriously, the player model isn't built like the GIGA Chad meme in this game
Put the outlaw overcoat on the model and good luck guessing who is under there
An alternative to this would be to add female voice lines
Literally just slim it down slightly lol
Like it doesn’t even have to be a huge difference
I'll just echo this statement
Delving into what stereotypes though??? That women are slimmer than men?
Cuz like, that one ain’t even a stereotype
Could've been poor wording on my part, I guess.

RE: The actual suggestion here, what's currently planned is female voice lines—while keeping the character models unisex. We'll leave this suggestion up for now, but I hope this provides clarity on future plans
Oh, the female voice lines are planned? N O I C E
Oh neat I didn’t know they were planned
I’m still of the opinion a slightly slimmer model with the same hit boxes would be a nice touch
Yeah I am all for it as long as the hitboxes remain the same between the two versions
If not, I am going to be Alexa the Marauder all day long 😛
I say make the model a little beefier and call it good for both. Pressure suit is gonna have some weight and covered by armour anyway
Thank you Christian! I appreciate this so much
