#Server Restarts and Server locations

Overtime I have been told by several people that Desync is an issue for them I have not experienced it but many games do a weekly restart on servers to stop these issues from occurring do we think we could get them done weekly on a schedule? Also Server locations have been increased since EA started I noticed Canada has servers now and Africa etc which is nice but the ping makes no difference I have played on Canada servers and have the same exact ping I have when in my region of U.S East. If these are just proxy servers off of the main servers originally please get ride of them it just reduces players per map. For Example me (Afterlife) and J3ffington tried to queue into the same match for fight each other (stream sniping) and we tried over 20 times with no luck we both are US East servers (says this when joining crew to verify region) not once but other people closer to my State get in no problem within 2 tries. Yet when we both play with each other same exact ping no difference this needs to be fixed its just causing less populated servers.

Summary

Weekly or Bi-weekly Server Restarts
Check server locations seems there are multiple servers in each region which doesn't affect ping but reduces players in many lobbies.

the servers are actually restarted quite often, hence you will sometimes disconnect from a raid and keep your previous kit before loading into that raid.

i think there is not enough knowledge in this suggestion tab. Both of you are assuming you know EVERYTHING about both crashes and gameserver operation.

# gray crown Was gonna say this. Idk where they are pulling info from. Raids could also be al...

desync info is from watching some streamers seeing them hit someone 5-6 times then watching the person they fought screen and seeing it only shot 2-3 times. Could be ping issue? yes but both running 20-30 ping so conclusion is desync must be the issue and a server maintenance can sometimes fix this issues its a suggestion not saying restarting server fixes this. Server locations is easy to find out yourself I live in Kentucky I have a person I play with sometimes live in Georgia Both east coast yet not even once have we ran into each other when trying to queue against each other over 20 times queueing same exact time not a single time getting into same raid yet. I have someone I play with that lives in Tennessee and we almost always get into each other raid when we queue snipe each other. All of us are showing US East region yet if they aren't close to my state we never get into matches together unless grouped up. Ping difference in different areas? Well as I explained One guy lives in Canada (Ontario) and he has same exact ping he gets in Canada servers he does with my US East and I get same in his Canada Servers. Same for when I group with the person in Georgia now if I queue West coast my Ping changes. So that is an explanation of the issue

So, I'm probably closer with my assumption that it's all run back through a central server. Honestly without information it's hard to know what's happening. No official documentation?

no I dont have any videos showing the testing of this

I mean even videos wouldn't be "proof" not that I doubt what you say, just the architecture is hard to figure out with just the client end if it. And they might do it intentionally to avoid situations where multiple squads get together to do a raid as an 8 man

Might just be SAS on the navy base.

Hm. Maybe lag and missing when it looks like you hit. Would lead me back to my assumption that hit detection is server side

@here hey everyone. Just wanted to drop by and say this is still under investigation! I can say that all servers restart immediately after use (or stay off until requirement) since we use cloud based matchmaking systems, so unfortunately isn’t the issue (wish it was would be a real easy fix!). Hopefully have more insight to the problem soon!
