I will go into literally any mode (except for extermination of course) and be playing anywhere from Master to top 100 players such as OOGA OOGA. Is there a way to actually play my own rank?

No. The matchmaking is manipulated by some players (who 'tank' down leagues) and the developers. Not every match is unbalanced but if you aren't spending money then you need to accept you won't be getting many first placed and just have fun around that.

Also it's barely over a day left until the new update goes live. Platforms are split at the moment. Also the start of the new black market season.

You are probably playing on pc and pc version has an older update than the android and IOS players so you are playing against pc players only
To fix this simply wait few days until the new update comes and you will play against players in the same rank as you
