Hello, Pet Battlers!
This channel will serve to provide you with updated regarding the monthly Grand Tournament. This will not include any announcements for yearly Pet Battle Community Events such as the Pet Battle Royale or Growlympics. Refer to the relevant announcement channel for those.
This is a Discord version of a pre-existing forum thread, so the first few announcements will be dated to cite the date they were originally posted.
Due to popular demand I'm writing a list of rules for the Grand Tournament that's accessible at all times, not just under certain conditions from the Master Peng NPC. In the future I'll look at adding these as a permanent addition to TOURNAMENT worlds. The rules are as follows:
- Boosting - the act of artificially increasing ones scores via alt abuse, paying other members or other nefarious means - is absolutely not tolerated.
- Using several accounts in the Grand Tournament - even if not boosting with them - is strictly prohibited.
- Once banned from the Grand Tournament you're not allowed to use alternate accounts to enter and bypass the TOURNEYBAN. This will result in longer punishments each time.
- Abusing in-game mechanics - such as to cause lag spikes - to put other players at a disadvantage is disallowed.
- Abusing in-game mechanics - such as commands - to give yourself an advantage, visual or otherwise, is disallowed.
A violation of any of these rules will have the following consequences:
- You'll receive an in-game ban of varying length (dependent on severity, previous record etc). For serial offenders or huge boosting rings this can be up to a permanent suspension.
- You'll be booted from the current Tournament Leaderboard.
- If you're abusing alts to farm Tourney Tokens, these will be removed from all of your accounts.
- You'll receive what's known as a TOURNEYBAN and the system will prevent you from any future Grand Tournaments.
Once you receive a valid TOURNEYBAN it will never be removed nor is it able to be appealed. You will find finalised Grand Tournament leaderboard results in the relevant threads in this forum (separated by year).
