#Point light inside a semi-transparent sphere

I spawn a sphere and a point light inside the sphere to simulate a light bulb. It seems this will only work (that is, having light come out of the sphere and light up surrounding entities) if the point light is placed right at the centre of the sphere. It is the case no matter where the camera is looking at, or where the sphere is positioned in the world.

I hope to consistently get light coming from inside the sphere, is there a way to do this?
