what version of mc are you trying to build on? because currently the only versions for spigot and buildtools is Java 8 and 16

I'm running Java 16 and the server version is 1.17.1. Thanks for responding ^^

I understand that better than you might guess..... And I didn't mean it the way you may have thought.... I've had a rough couple of last days and I apologize if I came across harshly.

as to your suggestion to update build tools the one that I am using is the newest one available... assuming that one didn't drop in the last day or two anyway... if one has dropped since my first post i'll have to do as you say and try again.... I'll double check that when I get off work here later today.
