So offline mode allows for un-authenticated clients to join

Intended to be used when the server is just for a group of friends in LAN and there's no internet

#

Mostly used for cracked mc accounts

#

Now what you can do, is if you start mc, kill the launcher from task manager, and start it again (you might want to get the InGame Account Switcher mod for this) you can now have two accounts on one server without having to pay for a second one

set online-mode to false in the server.properties

#

And you most likely want to use Fabric with InGame Account Switcher to easily get a "cracked" account

i guess the fact that the skins dont load ingame is part of the ofline mode of the server
