For the past day Now I have been trying to figure out a way to prevent Mods making themselves to admins.
On my server mods have the ability to promote people, the issue is they can promote themselves to Owner if they wanted to. I would like mods to only to be able to promote people to their rank. (The highest a mod can promote a person is to their own rank "Mod" and nothing higher). An not be able to promote themselves any higher as well.
I have been going back and fourth on the LuckPerms official discord for help but all I'm getting is just articles that lead to nowhere.
If anyone knows a way to do this please let me know, I would appreciate a step by step if possible since I am still new with Luck Perms and server creating in general.

so I'm sort of at my wits end here, I'm running a spigot 1.16.5 server and the nether is stuck in Peaceful mode.
when typing "/difficulty normal" it feeds back that "the difficulty is already set to normal"

This is only useful on a Dedi or VPS. On a Hosting it's recommended to add the XMS. + most hostings do not even allow JVM Param eits.
Still, in some situations XMS is server friendlier tho. But that's irrelevant for a survival server.
What are you using?
The difference between -Xms and -Xmx apart from being minimum and maximum heap size ranges is that; -Xms amount of memory if available will be assigned immediately by OS to your application but -Xmx will be treated like a request taken and will be served as and when required up-to that limit
You can reduce garbage collection cycles by setting a larger minimum heap size. This doesn't make a huge difference on long running programs, but short running stuff can benefit from this. It can increase boot speed etc.
The JVM sets the initial heap size to some amount of the maximum heap size and then grows the heap and performs (mostly minor) GC runs when the used memory exceeds some threshold. So, when setting an initial heap size with -Xms (which is then immediately allocated on JVM startup) you can avoid these heap grow cycles.
I'd still recommend adding -Xms for better Young-GC.

I'm using the extra hard mode plugin(this thing rocks), but for the farming improvement I don't want to completely remove the ability to transport water in buckets(as extra hard mode has it). I was too, but if you end up really liking it, then I would definately say switch. I was using free for a while, and when i switched i almost passed out from how good it was(not really). I personally would recomend meloncube, but i hear apex is good too

4 cores is max you need if you're only gonna run one minecraft server
maybe scale up to 8 if you have like 50 players and you have paper and dedicate like 5 threads to world loading
