I do try to keep my server updated, but this is an issue that has spanned/surfaced across multiple versions...

When I started the server, it was the latest at the time...

I've occasionally updated it as time goes by

But at some point in it's life, the server has decided to ignore the seed set in server.properties and use "0" instead (even after server restarts.

Hey, I'm trying to setup a buycraft rank, what command do I need to use, like, how does the plugin know where to put in the username of the guy who bought it?

I currently have this in the command execution line thing:
"lp user <user> parent add donator"
But does the plugin replace "<user>" with an actual user? Or what do I need to use for that?

Yea <user> gets replaced with users actual name. If player uses /buy command ingame they get the tebex webpage link. They need to put in the username first before player can buy the item/rank. You can add "fake money" into tebex of you are the admin, this way you can test if the module is working correctly

@summer jacinth there's 2 options here. Either make one listener to check when a block is broken that starts a 15 second timer to replace it to prevent destruction, or to maintain the original, make a listener that waits for a block to be placed and then gets a PersistentDataContainer of said block and adds a piece of data to it. Then when a player breaks a block, if it does not have that data, cancel. If it does, allow it to be broken.
I did that last part on my server to make placed bedrock breakable.

Oh I think you got the idea in reverse, when a player places a block in 15 seconds it will break automatically.

@fresh plank if your servers are configured correctly, you don't have to worry about players connecting directly to them and they will have to go through your bungee server. each of your servers should have the server-ip set to localhost or 127.0.0.1 (if on the same host as your bungeecord server) and online-mod to false in the server.properties file. In each server's spigot.yml set bungee to true

If your servers are on a different host then I'd control the incoming traffic to only be accepted from your bungeecord server's IP address.

@amber shadow i think the best way to approach that is to have a copy of the minigame server and whenever it is done you reset that server to that copy.
as for networking, I have never done this either but i think you need to set up multiple bungeecords? honestly not sure.

also. Is there any1 who can help me read a heap dump? My server is constantly crashing and on my panel is says that it is using over the located amount of RAM (8GB). whereas ingame it says it is only using 3GB of ram.

adding swap space just helps the OS cope with when ram is exhausted

My machine has 30GB of ram with that i am running like 3 or 4 servers now.
all small ones except the one i have issues with. So i what i did is I give a certain amount of ram to one server lets say 8 GB and then i need to make sure that in the start line of the server i need to make it like 6 GB?

what it sounds like is your docker container is crashing due to the JVM using up too much resources that the docker container itself was allowed

thats what i wasn't sure cuz im running hub magic the bungeecord plugin and when my minigame plugin restarts the server and replaces the world it sends the player back to the HUB not the lobby of minigames so i wasn't sure if there is an easier way to do that
