new pc help

hii, i'd appreciate some advice and help with putting a pc together that i could order for my dad, as he's got a really rusty old basic office-type pc currently that's insanely slow.
it's not actually for gaming purposes, so it doesn't need to be anything super special or the newest of the new, but i'm looking at gaming pcs specifically jst bc they last fairly well. and my own pc is from pcspecialist, so i'm quite fond of them, lol.
16gb ram is perfectly fine for him. but then it gets tough trying to piece together what comes together and works well, so i'd like the help. i know this will take time out of your day if you respond, but tysm if you do!

what is your budget? under 1k (if plausible?)
what is the intended purpose of the pc? just everyday use!! maybe a basic game here and there, nothing too beefy
what res monitor? not sure, will buy a new monitor for him anyways. not fussed. 1080 would be fine, imo
what country? the uk!!

I've bought a similar model myself, intended for my parents, they ended up buying a laptop for themselves before I got the PC to them, but honestly it's a decent little thing, when it's full tilt on the CPU it does scream like any laptop, but is quieter than a laptop when doing basic stuff or idle

hii, thanks so much for these suggestions. they do look fantastic, and i should've mentioned this in the post prolly - but he wants an actual gpu in it, not integrated graphics, and that's defo one of the biggest parts we're stuck on!! i know that makes it a bit more than an office pc, ofc, but it's jst what we're looking around

it's pretty low end, for a GPU, but it is still a GPU, and fits under 1k

even the RTX 5050 bursts the 1k mark pretty heavily, and I hate the 5050

there are lower end GPUs as well, like the 6GB 3050, or the 1030/710/730, but they don't even measure up well to integrated graphics for modern CPUs, they are nothing more than display out cards at this point
