I have some questions and need help about it.

#

I am planning to upgrade my gpu to 7900xtx

#

idk if I can just change the gpu

#

Log into your PCS account, navigate to your previous order and hit the upgrade button. Then you can select a different GPU and see if it spits out any conflicts

kind void
#

oh thank you, I just discovered

#

Also could you guys help me about the gpu a bit

#

planning to change it to something around 4090 but its way too overpriced

when I change the gpu, if I wanted to use them both how could it be possible?

solar ginkgo
#

Nope

#

SLI is dead

kind void
#

okay then

#

ty

#

do you think depending on the purpose of use would it be a difference between 4080 super and 7900xtx

kind void
#

just asking opinion

solar ginkgo
#

All depends on your budget, usage and preferences

If your budget allows and you like "gimmicks" like RayTracing, Nvidia
If you want the most FPS for your buck without gimmicks, AMD

kind void
#

okay thank you

#

should I get more fans?

kind void
#

Do you guys think that gpu will fit my case?

#

Also I was wondering if it'll make it bottleneck. I have 7800x3d cpu and I'll change my gpu into 7900xtx

slate sentinel
#

The 7800x3d is literally the best gaming CPU out there currently

kind void
#

yeah I do know but just curious

#

thanks man

kind void
slate sentinel
#

Are the temperatures ok currently?

kind void
#

I think they were okay, I never checked it

#

today I was playing black myth wukong and I didn't check it

slate sentinel
#

And how many do you have already - I cant read Italian 🙂

kind void
#

ahahah

#

sorry

#

lemme translate it for you

#

I have 1 extra case fan

#

nothing more

dry hare
#

Nice! Free game code and a windows key!

#

Thanks!

kind void
#

oh

#

sorry

slate sentinel
#

Ahem, blank out the codes lol

kind void
#

he deleted it

#

faster than me

slate sentinel
#

I deleted it, cos youll need to readd oen anyways

kind void
#

yeah ty

dry hare
#

Free Starfield game!

#

Tahnks

kind void
#

also

#

bro

#

just get it

dry hare
kind void
#

I don't play it anyways

#

hahhaha

#

now its good

dry hare
#

so, what's the question again?

kind void
#

should I get more case fans

#

I will change my gpu

#

also I think gpu will fit my case otherwise, site would've said it

dry hare
#

Correct, you'd get a warning if it wasn't fitting

#

So for that case, you can put 3 fans on the front, one on the rear and one at the top, towards the back, to give you optimal airflow for the air cooler

kind void
#

so should I get 2 more extra fans

dry hare
#

Case comes with two fans, Id use them for the top and rear fans, and add three to the front

#

Prob plain non rgb ones to keep with the blacked out vibe

kind void
#

I have 3 fans I think

#

do you want a photo?

#

I can send it

#

in the front I have 3 rgb ones

dry hare
#

And i'd add a smaller SSD as a boot drive, keep 2TB for the game drive

#

Ah sorry, you have this build and want to put a new GPU in it?

kind void
#

yeah yeah

dry hare
#

Sorry, catching up

kind void
#

exactly

#

no no thats okay

#

I appreciated

dry hare
#

WAs distracted by downloading my free starfield and windows

kind void
#

ahahahah

#

thanks again btw

#

saved it

dry hare
#

So yeah, I'd have 3 front, one rear and one top back for case fans. Front set as intake, the other two as exhaust.

kind void
#

nice

#

is that easy to install?

#

I already have 3 front

dry hare
#

If you can use a screwdriver and read instructions.. sure

kind void
#

easy then I can figure it out

#

so I will get one more fan

#

because I already have 1 more extra case fan

#

also I will add one more of the same ssd

#

m.2 ssd

#

getting them thanks for your help man

kind void
dry hare
#

Don't get the same SSD, get a smaller (512GB to 1 TB) but faster one.

#

I'd go with the thermaltake fans

kind void
#

do you have any suggestions?

dry hare
#

Yes, floss daily

kind void
#

I got the advice and ordered faster one

#

I appreciated man

#

helped a lot

dry hare
#

Cool, you know how to fit it?

kind void
#

I'll check the guides and fit it I guess

kind void
#

I found how to fit it but I have a question if anyone can help me out

#

I bought the ssd and the gpu

#

if I send a photo of my pc would you guys help me where should I insert it?

PCSpecialist How-To...

👆 In this video, we show you how to remove and install a new Graphics Card.

If in any doubt, please contact our support at #📞support

slate sentinel
#

That should help with the GPU

kind void
kind void
#

and this is my ssd

#

do I just insert it to m2 slots?

slate sentinel
#

If you look at the motherboard manual it should show you where the M.2 slots are, I suspect some may be under the heat sink near the bottom of the board

kind void
#

okay let me check

#

this works?

dry hare
#

What other SSD do you have apart from the 990 2TB one above?

#

You prob already have an SSD in the red slot, and if that's the faster of the two drives, keep it there, as that will be the fastest slot, and use it for your boot drive. Then you can install the 2TB in the greenslots, but check manual to see if any speed differences between them

#

Use the one on the left. "M.2_3 shares bandwidth with PCIEX16_2. PCIEX16_2 will be suspended once M.2_3
is populated."

kind void
#

The ssd in the red slot is slower than the one I recently got it

dry hare
#

Then maybe switch? They're both 2tB?

kind void
#

yep they are both 2tb

#

so I will switch them and I will put the previous one to the green slot

dry hare
#

Yep, one on left in my screenshot.

kind void
#

yep

dry hare
#

Then you’ll need to do a clean install of windows to the new drive

kind void
#

meaning formatting the windows?

#

let me insert it first

#

then we can talk about that

kind void
#

I did it

#

looks like this

#

before installing the gpu, I also have two tough fan I got where should I put those

#

I can put them on top

dry hare
#

Well what fans do you have installed right now?

kind void
#

these

dry hare
#

Ok so you can either just put one fan in on the top, behind the deepcool cooler, set to exhaust, or do that and replace the PCS one with the tough fan, so they match

kind void
#

yeah I was also thinking the same

#

okay let me do it then

dry hare
main raven
#

before screwing the fan into the case, run the screws into the fan outside of the case first, makes life much easier

kind void
#

perfect will do that

kind void
#

should I remove the gelatin on the gpu?

#

the plastic

main raven
#

do you mean the plastic film? you'll need to be more specific

kind void
#

yeah this

#

and also at the back of the gpu there is one

#

this also

main raven
#

that plastic foil absolutely should be removed

kind void
#

I did remove it and installed it but the problem is I just have 2 pci cables hanging out which I used on my other gpu but this gpu requires 3 pci cables how can I get other cable out?

main raven
#

send a pic, I think I know what you are saying, but I don't know for a fact what you are saying

kind void
main raven
#

look in your welcome box, no. 3 should be in there

kind void
#

what is a welcome box

dry hare
#

Cardboard box that came with your pc with all the spare cables etc

kind void
#

they didn't send one

#

I've never had it

slate sentinel
#

It wouldve had the power cable in it and wifi antennas (if your pc has wifi) and various other bits and bobs, I'd be very surprised if you didnt get a welcome box

kind void
#

I got it worked thats okay

#

everything works perfectly fine

#

thank you everyone who helped me

#

I appreciate a lot
