Hi I’m getting my first gaming PC coming over from the Xbox series x, finally wanted to upgrade to the master race. I need help building a Pc I’m using pc specialist and have around a £3000-£3500 budget and will be using it for gaming. I play a lot of games ranging from FPS to MMO to open world single player games and am thinking of getting a 4k 144hz Samsung odyssey monitor. Could you more experienced guys help with with a good build that can run all games pretty smoothly would be hugely appreciated😁

Could drop the braided cables and Gold Warranty and sneak a 4090 into that build
Thanks bro, how big of a difference ingame would the 4090 be to the 4080 super ik its quite a lot better

How come you used two different SSD brands also is that beneficial @brazen trench
Your a legend bro
So 990 is a very good fast drive, which is what you want for your boot drive. The P44 is also a good brand, maybe not as performant as the 990, but it's cheaper, so makes for a good games/data drive
You could even go P44 for the boot and not notice the difference tbh
Could I do both 990 because it only adds on a tiny bit in price or isn’t it worth it @brazen trench
If you have money to burn.... sure
I just wanna try future proof it too
I don’t wanna have to upgrade for a while is all
I might put the money towards the braided cables though, will make the build look much better
Yeah 100% I’m doing the pay within 12 months no interest scheme anyway not paying it in full
With a bit of a deposit
Just a monthly payment for me which won’t dent my salary too much as I’ve stopped drinking like I used to😂
Gives you a starting point. But with a 3K-3.5K budget, you can easily get the best CPU and GPU and then just build your case and fans etc around that
Yeah, I changed the second ssd to 2tb 990 too same as the first and added on gold warranty because for the extra little bit I wanna know I have the warranty there should I need it. It looks like a monster build that and comes in at £3.6k
I’ll keep that build there but I might wait until the new cpus are out in 11 days to see if it’s worth that upgrade or just keep the 7800X3D instead
@brazen trench just 1 more question, would the 8 cores hinder me in anyway doing other things, I wouldn’t be using it as a workstation
Like for general use
Not at all
for basic office/browsing 2-4 cores are all you need, but the 8 cores give extra flexibility for background tasks, and the handful of applications that do want a few more cores
Because they wanted an Nvidia card
is nvidia better ?
I mean the 7900 xtx has a better performance but is nvidia for example has a lower temperature or something ?
If you want ray-tracing stuff then the NVidia cards definitely win
I’m going for the 4090 now
Crazy
It’s my first pc so I don’t wanna have to mess around upgrading it soon
And want the best experience I can get atm
It's my first PC but I've helped a lot of my friends build and upgrade PCs so I know my way to install some RAM or a better GPU
Yeah I’m gonna have to learn for when I need to upgrade like😂
