I really want to upgrade my CPU and GPU, right now I'm using the Intel i5-4590 cpu and the Intel R HD Graphics 4600. These are around 11 years old and need upgrades as most of my games can't load. I was wondering if there are any budget upgrades to work with these? My mother board is the Optiplex 9020.

Also just for context, whenever I try to open elden ring from steam it crashes

Given how old it is, you should really be looking at a whole new system as upgrades will be very limited

Don't think I have a high enough budget for new system. :/

Noting that also we can only really give advise for upgrades for PCSpecislist systems, and whilst yours may or not be, it is probably unlikely they can help with something that old even if it is

Honestly. Your best budget idea would be getting a Playstation 5 unless you're going to be getting a brand new PC from scratch

As others have said, not much room to upgrade on such an old platform, so you’d only see incremental improvements in performance. You’ve sweated the asset a long time, so now need to plan on saving for its replacement.
