Last machine was an i7-7700k + a 1080ti and 16gb RAM. It's lasted me well over the past 6-7 years but it's finally time for an upgrade and I want to get the best I can to last another 5-6yrs.

This is what I've come up with, any thoughts? My main query at this point is on the 4070 Super vs 4070ti vs waiting for the ti super in a couple of weeks.

this caught my eye because im also on a similar 7 year old rig and thinking about upgrading with a similar budget. atm my thinking is to wait until next year tho when intel release 15th gen cpu, which is supposed to be a good step up from 13th/14th gen. and also by then pcie 5 will be more established and hopefully the 40-series gpus will be a tiny bit cheaper lol

yeah I can imagine that. I'm expecting a work bonus next month though and feel like I waited long enough already.

I Can't upgrade to Windows 11 currently, and some newer games like Forza Motorsport won't run due to CPU...

Other new games I can't just set everything to "Ultra" and leave it as is nowadays like I used to. Although some are still fine.

I feel it's time for the changing of the guard, and now the "super" ranges are coming out it feels like a good time.
