not sure price wise how that compares to the 7800x3d but unless you need extra cores for other tasks that could be a much better option given how good that 7800x3d is with framerates
The 14th gen i5 should still be very good of course with no issues

np, there isn't too many better cpus for this however most of them will be ideally for premium builds for example i7 and i9s and equivalent price tiers for ryzens but for a 4060ti an i5 is a sensible choice. Obviously some will say go for a 13th gen etc given the small performance jump from last gen to this but if it wasn't much more than a 13th gen when you are already spending so much on a new pc that difference would be minimal and not worth too much thought over. The main decisions are on the big price differences such as a completely different cpu or graphics card and so on
