no pets are only animals
it’s in the legitimate definition of ‘pet’
“a domestic or tamed animal kept for companionship or pleasure.”
Yes but no, I consider my plants to be pets but if you wanted to be officially correct then no
No, even tho plants are alive they lack the sentience that animals do
Nope
Plays are kingdom Plantae whereas animals are kingdom Animalia
They share a domain but that’s it
saying that all eukaryotes are animals is,, very wrong,,
Yeah it’s literally in different kingdom classifications
which is why I was thoroughly confused by what u were saying lol
i would post plant pics in a pet pics channel but other than that no, theyre not exactly pets
they're still in different kingdom classifications 💀
they even have different tissues and bodily systems
Humans are very closely related to chimpanzees but we're still not chimpanzees, ik its not a super accurate comparison because its species rather than anything broader but still
No but that doesn’t mean we love them any less! 😊
i have a carnivore plant
soooo
I mean, I considered carnivorous plants but had decided against them being pets as well because on a fundamental level they're not rlly different from normal plants, lack of sentience and their carnivorous response is triggered mechanically rather than by choice
yes yes they r
