Depends on the animal, a lot would benefit from bioactive but some animals just aren't a good fit for it cause they'd trample plants and stuff

Bioactive because I love isopods

Personally, I like traditional. My animals thrive on traditional and it’s not as hard to set up and clean.

Bioactive for tropical
And traditional for arid

There are to many disadvantages with keeping tropical setups non bioactive that a well balanced bioactive setup will completely automate for you.

In an arid setup all of the disadvantages that a tropical setup has simply doesn't exist or are so tiny that it's easier to manually keep on top of it.

PS. They are always naturalistic in design for me tho, no paper towels or such for long term tanks.

Bioactive, because its more natural and I think its way more beautiful for me.
I also like the thought, that they live in a "living" terrarium a bit like in nature.
The animals deserve that in my opinion.

I like bioactive in some cases because well you can make a cool arid enclosure too but it'll look different it all depends on the animal and well it's requirements. But beuty wise i like bioactive. But you can also make a pretty awesome arid enclosure tbh with skulls and different textures so it depends on who is building the terrarium

Honestly, my goal is for every enclosure for every reptile I own to be bioactive in some way, if at all possible. The more humid the enclosure is, the more likely it'd be better off bioactive, especially if it's got a water feature.
