mandarins are good if you can keep the enclosure cool enough
idk much bout king rats or bulls but ik carpets and bcis are more intermedaite
Mhm
Thanks for the feedback
I live in Illinois so I think it's 7ft that's the longest Snake I can own so most of them are under that on the list
dumerils in rare cases can get 8 ft iirc
Yea
Best beginner animals I see here are Mandarins (assuming you can get the enclosure cool enough), corn snakes, and potentially king snakes
The rest aren’t horrible but would lean more to intermediate
My first snake was a BCI and he made a great beginner snake, though I do recommend going for a male there for the smaller size, because even a non-dwarf shouldn't hit 7ft as far as I know
but yeah really can't go wrong with a corn snake like everyone else is saying
what I love about the BCI or other boas as a first snake is that I think they teach you a lot about the body language of a snake and also make good teachers for learning to handle a snake with very little risk involved
Thanks for the help @stoic verge and @neon sandal
no problem! and of course, the most important part is doing your research, no matter which kind you get

just wondering what i should get first because I like them all lol
very fair, all snakes are awesome
