I've setup the new GA4 plugin and not quite understanding how to set up the custom dimension for pluginId. Attached two ways I've tried to configure it (not sure what to put in for the mandatory parameter field). I've allowed the pluginId context and also enabled contentGrouping by pluginId in my app-config.yaml.

hey @round lintel did you get any leads on the above ? I am struggling with the same customization.
On top of that how do you keep track the unique users to the portal or using a certain entity? I assume GA4 counts users per session i.e if I clear my cookies and access it again, i am counted as 2 users. is that the general understanding ?

Hi @tepid owl, honestly we stopped using GA about 9 months ago due to company policy. We were very basic users as what we were getting was super helpful. I would probably post this in the #analytics channel and you might get more traction there

Most of the basics we already get from datadog RUM so GA has quite a bit more. I still haven’t figured out the custom dimensions stuff and it’s relationship to c_pluginId nor do I see pluginId anywhere in GA. But there is another event attribute that does seem to indicate the plug-in and I made a custom dimension out of that.
