Disagree about the teleport, I think that's fine as it is, but yeah, being able to see with map up would be nice. A minimap option might be nice as well.
Why is there a delay charge for it in the first place? What purpose does it serve since the ability is already earned?
For teleporting? It's because this is an action roguelike first and foremost. Having the ability to TP out of any dangerous situation you find yourself in isn't something you want the player to be able to do with the push of a single button. Making it something you need to hold for a couple seconds makes it a commitment. That's why they did the same thing for shrines and chests too.
I also agree with the transparancy slider and disgree with the faster teleport. I'll tack on, though, that the map should be a toggle. Walking around while holding tab is super inconvenient.
I think it could be an option in the menu for the toggle at least. I don't mind holding it personally, and it would actually be a bit more inconvenient for me personally if it were a toggle, as I pop the map up constantly to check player status and positioning. 
(this is part of the reason I mentioned the minimap thing, being able to see that at a glance rather than covering the screen would be so nice for the way I use it)
