#Particles ignoring transmissionmap

figured it out, if someone runs into a similar problem, u for some reason must have another plane or any other object behind the particles. no idea why

I'm trying to create an icy/frosty glass with a transmissionmap but for whatever reason the particles behind it render twice, once with transmission and once without. when i set the material's opacity to 1, the particles don't draw over it.
are particles not supported for this use case or am i doing something wrong?
