Started play the other day and really enjoying the list! I came across an issue with adopting a second child last night and have been trying to fix it since waking up.
I didn't want to necro this post so I figured I'd link it #1177080719030353920 message
The current issue is that Vanilla Script (micro)Optimizations version 1.16alpha has a missflagged script that causes it to run infinitely. You can either the fix this by installing a patch for this script from here https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/97901?tab=description or you can update Script (micro)Optimizations to version 1.17 to fix this.
You can also fix it in xEdit by changing BYOHRelationshipAdoptableOrphanage [QUST:02004286] from Allow Repeated Stages to Run Once
If you're already in game and having this issue, the patch and this command fixed it for me.
