After about 5 seconds into the game, it crashes, although I can still hear the audio.

Hey, unfortunately your processor does not meet the minimum requirements for Riders Republic. The game requires CPUs with avx2 (Minimum requirements Intel® Core™ i5-4460 and up)
Your CPU is ~10 y/o and does not have avx2, only avx, thus crashing the game.
We don't know wether Ubisoft will revert avx2 dependency or not. As of now your only way to play the game would be to upgrade your CPU.
