A bunch of achievements still show as lit up after a singularity, even though internally they've been reset. It's just a display bug and doesn't affect the logic.

So this was a bug I had thought I saw, looked in to a while back, and then dismissed. You are awarded several achievements right off the bat, and even more as you collect Singularities. Do you have the points for them? Do you have a screenshot of the bug? I gave up because after I tried a few times and couldn't reproduce it, I assumed I was mistaken

So I was pretty sure it had something to do with how saves are loaded, but then Feodoric most surely nailed it. This game saves pretty aggressively, (every 5 seconds??), so there's some race condition. Which explains why it was hard to reproduce, especially when we were silently failing

Does it still? The fix should be live now, as of around 11am EDT (Feodoric's). Pretty sure the reason we're seeing it now is because saving is no longer silently failing, but that's a good thing. There are/were a couple weird Unicode bugs and part of the fix made this one more apparent, maybe.

So my fix was to skip the failing save in the middle of the singularity reset, but force a save right after the reset is complete. That should ensure that everything is properly reset and saved to whatever local storage your browser is using

If you're still seeing achievements lit up when they shouldn't be then my assumption would be that something else is happening. I haven't noticed it myself so maybe it's something different about your save

(it's also possible that my fix missed something and this is still related to the save during reset)

Pretty sure the recording was at least 2 hours before the fix went live, but even then without a page refresh someone could still be on a much older version
