I was wondering why trash was building up in other areas until I clicked over to Meteor Lane and found this going on. Occasionally one will break off to pick up some trash in the area but then returns to the mob. Saving and exiting to the main menu seems to fix it for now.

They are partying on the job! 
Yeah they seem to get stuck from time to time. For now it fixes by just exiting to the main menu and reloading the game. Sorry they are slacking at the moment. Their pathing should be fixed in a future update!
