I have the same issue on PC. I haven't played my original save because over 30 of my storages reverted. Hideyo

On console you have to do a final confirmation with square, after that the text has a slightly darker background in comparison to the rest of the ui background.

I'm having the same issue on PC, but it's not applicable to all storage containers for me. Plastic Bins and Cardboard Boxes keep their names, but Premium Fridge Freezers are losing names and their icon after sleeping and/or restarting the game. Container color changes seem to be working for all of them.
