so i tried to play sunnyside last night and i got this same issue
uninstalled, reinstalled, tried to validate the integrity of the files, restarted my pc, etc...
but nothing seems to work and steam won't tell me why it's giving me this error (or if it does, i can't find it)
i assume it has something to do with patch 3 since i was able to play just fine after patch 2 but i'm not sure
i won't have much time to play in the coming months due to being busy irl so i'm hoping it will go away on its own after more patches but just in case it doesn't, i wanted to check if this happened to anyone else or if there's something i'm missing but i didn't find anything in this channel yet

This happens and it's usually a Steam issue. May have to un-and-reinstall.
That's the first thing I tried
in my experience, this is the result of not having enough space.
i still have over 150 GB free
Ah, then it's a Steam issue, sadly.
If you type "Disk write" in the search box for Discord, you'll see other instances where people had this issue. I think we were able to help find solutions for some of them.
only 1 other person came up and unfortunately no solution
I'll pull some links and pictures out of it. (it's in an archived forum)
@rigid whale When you have time
hewwo idk how to fix it but i can try helping i guess 😂
i will read through things in a few though tryna balance a couple things
@rich zinc (sorry for ping) what anti virus do you use?
can you check if any files got quarantined?
i tried turning it off to reinstall and that didn't do anyhting though
got 1 related to sunnyside
so, what?
restore and add exception?
yes
the person fem tried linking earlier fixed it by removing sunnyside from the quarantine so should work if it didnt read-only the directory too
was able to finish the update and start the game 👍
i wonder why it got caught in avast suddenly though
worked fine until last update
thx for the help though
