Hi how do I use the rice cooker? I've put in the ingredients, pressed the play button (the middle of all ingredients), and pressed the turn on button showing 2 hours all for it to not produce nothing.

I'm not sure what that's all about. To get the drying rack you have to go to the mechanic and have him build it via an order. The ingredients so you don't have to run ALL THE WAY BACK AND FORTH like I did are (per rack):

• 4 Hard Plank (order through woodworker)
• 3 Glass (order through blacksmith)
• 1 Solar Sheet (buy from Hiro's)
• 1 Cherry mini-computer thing (buy from Hiro's)
• 3 Air Hose (buy from the mechanic there before you place the order)

All you have to do for fish is catch one and turn it in.

There is no picture taking required there.

The fishing pole you get for free from the mechanic can catch fish in the river between your farm and Gabe's, any fish will do.

You start in the left compartment and go right, or at least that's what I did

like I got all grass I got from my farm to it once, from 100 stack it took something around 75 pieces, and never filled it later for month and it was still going

My Japonica plant took DAYS to show up aboveground, and I think it still has a placeholder image that says 'image here' for the plot.

Not pinned, just projects you are working on, because mine still shows me the Build station, Bicycle stand and the Tea house, despite them being all build, and it's clogging up the shopping list.

You have to buy the broken item from the convenience store in Hagashi, then take it to the mechanic for repair.

When you get the repaired item from the mechanic it teaches you the blueprint to place it in your house.

I was trying to get all the mats and every time I would delete one from my order list it would steal both the broken machine and all the items. Made getting screenshots of my rooms with the drone interesting cause if you don't stand in the doorway a certain way it'll close in your face when you spawn the drone 😂||

I’m in spring year 2 and I haven’t found any insects yet. I’ve checked on trees, fences, rocks and bamboo with the critter cam fully zoomed and I’ve still gotten nothing. I'm assuming that specialty honey requires you to isolate the beehive surrounded by the plants that create said specialty honey. For instance, if you want honeysuckle honey you'd surround the beehive with only honeysuckles. But if you just plant them in front of a whole dang garden you're gonna get plain honey.

I haven't playtested it, but it seems like a logical formula for success.

That’s how cinnamon is harvested (branches are cut and then regrow). If you didn’t get any cinnamon from it, that’s the bug, but it looking like that after harvesting is normal, no worries.

Cinnamon is currently falling through the world, but it's fixed on the public test branch and should be fixed in the live game soon.

There's a trick that helps though, if you look straight up at the sky while you harvest it will usually fall above ground.

I'll probably just wait to harvest until it is fixed. I'm going to be putting Sunnyside down for a bit since FFXIV's new expansion is dropping for early access within the next 24 hours. So hopefully majority of the bugs will be fixed soon and I can enjoy this game even more than I already am 😊😊

Highlighted means they have been gotten what they need. Food and Water if those icons are highlighted. Straw doesn't have to be for every day, I think. But you do have to replace it at some point. I'm not sure how long you can go before the animals get unhappy. I just do it every few days. or everyday for fertilizer lmao

i know at the example of tea that tea has 2 harvestable stages, same to cherry trees, 4 is blossoms, where you can harvest cherry blossoms or green tea stalks, and 5 is then the actuall cherries or tea stalks

|| basically anything you have at hand, i'd say just try to follow the cooking skill tree as good as possible. rice is for example quite good. okayu which is 1 rice + 3 water. it's easy and doesn't require any tools, rice can usually be bought in the store and water's also easy. fruit salad is probably also easy. ||

sadly i don't know how cooking points are even calculated if all dishes give like 50exp (for example) or if they are based on complexity and if there's one dish that's superior to them all

Alright. Support team folks were talking in general about how it resets often if you don't stay right there with it so I would've assumed someone bothered to bug report it by now. The one time I've used it, it reset when I left the room to get an ingredient in a nearby room to use a different machine. Didn't use up the ingredients, but I had to attempt to cook the dish twice and sat there with the interface open the second time to make sure it worked. Thanks for the info.

to make it less annoying to wait you can tune up the time to 10 minutes instead of 30 minutes in your games settings while you cook. you can tune this value on the fly, so it's not that bad. and most rice cooker recipes don't take that long.

If you have a barn, the barn locks the animals in at night, so if you're skipping a day they're never 'let out' to go get food/water. I'd probably take enough time to let that process happen before skipping the day.

The only animal I've had happiness lower on is the dog when I had his bed in the starting shed instead of somewhere he didn't get stuck. Farm animals will generally run straight to the troughs and feeders when the day starts, but if you don't spend enough time in the day for that to happen, they don't eat or drink.

It doesn't happen automatically overnight like it does in the cookie cutter farming sims. It's more realistic and takes time.

Is it not possible to move a building once you put something in it?
I built a barn, moved it to where I wanted and then put animal beds in and went and bought animals. That same day I decided I should rotate the barn so I tried and it wouldn’t let me. Took all the animal beds out and still couldn’t. I could understand if the animals were already there but they weren’t and there was nothing inside it. I just couldn’t highlight to pick it up at all

Did you tick the box that reads Select/Destry Buildings? Just be careful with it in "destroy mode" for future reference.

You can move the hose.
But I find it easier to use the bucket at the hose, then that will put buckets of water into your inventory.

So for the Harvest Feast in fall, I submitted my meal at the table and it said I should try a neighbor’s dish in exchange but I didn’t receive anything and nothing else happened….was I supposed to do something to trigger anything else in the event?

It was def easy to miss, I happened to be standing near this table and saw a "read" prompt show up and that's how I submitted my dish....but now nothing seems to be happening haha

Same thing happened when I did the fishing event, I caught the fish requested but was never able to submit it and nothing triggered throughout the festival after the original scene showing what fish you need to catch

For sand, go to the beach and use your bucket tool and it’ll pick up sand, you can keep using it there to get multiple buckets of it.

I’m also curious on where to find those mushrooms, along with a lot of other foragables on the skill tree 😅

this happens with the first NPC you befriend in the game. You have to start talking to more NPCs to get more variety from hang out requests

Kelp and kombu are NEAR THE LAB, near the lab you have this beach sore there's green stuff sitting on the sand, it gives you the "pick" interaction.
You can sell them for 5 cupules. So go there and LOOOT hahh

Sand amd water work the same way.
Pick the bucket tool and collect.
For water go near your hose with your bucket tool selected it'll trigger the "collect water" interaction and it gives you back buckets filled with water
