Since we don't have the little lamps in Grounded 2, I thought I'd place a candle on the end table instead.
I was kind of shocked that I cant do this.
I'm curious why we cant place the two small candles on the end tables?
But we can place them on the Small round table?

I made a suggestion similar to this as we can't even place the small picture frame on them.
Hopefully this gets changed in a future patch and we'll have more freedom on where we can place stuff.

Grounded 1 had a lot of freedom when it came to base decoration; players could place decorative items freely on various surfaces. I personally prefer Grounded 1's approach Grounded 2 barely lets you place any decorations. It feels like this approach limits creative freedom

I agree, The rugs are also listed as "Invalid Surface" So if I want to place a rug under a chair, I have to place the chair first and hope the rug will go under it. Sometimes I have to move the whole room just to accomplish this vs just moving the chair on top of the rug and be done with it.
Another note: The Pebblet/Clay foundations clip into the rugs. This makes them look dirty and muddy.
