I think a return to the first games staff differences would be better, spicy explodes like a fireball, fresh freezes like cone of cold, keep the fast three attacks chain but have the charged shots be different to give them their own identities again, I know I was sad to see that they were exactly the same outside of elemental damage type.

Reminds me of a thought I had a while back for making different kinds of staves before socketing the candies. Missile, Wave, Bolt, and Blaster were the originals I came up with, I think.

I also had ideas for one handed candy wands and a "warlock" class pure candy dps very little if any defense
I'd like to see the spicy and chill staves being almost exact opposites.
Spicy works as it does now but the charged attack is a prolonged spray of sizzle goo.
The chill staff would have a long range, lower damage cone of cold. The second attack would be mid range but higher damage/chill. The third shot would be close range with high damage/chill. The charged shot would be the same as it is now.
As things stand I'm not really looking forward to the sour staff. I get the impression it will just be more of the same.
Yeah, also i had hopes for a salty staff as well, make it like a long range ray, it could also auto jerky the bug meat
But if they're all gonna just be the exact same...
For salt I would like an arc of salt crystals. Horizontal, vertical, then an X for double diagonal. The X would cause bleeding.
The charged shot would be cool as a long ranged stream or ray of salt crystals.
I agree it should make them into jerky.
Caramel would be a great addition too. Sticky candy.
